my night at Woodstock. no not that one.

Still catching up. Here's some fun shots from a recent trip across the border to celebrate the new job and just relax.

We went to Le Petite Creperie and had meat stuffed in a pancake. No, it was good.

There we all are. Rae, you're the wizardress of photoshoppery, maybe you can paste in some open eyes. ;)

Look at how pretty the dessert crepes were! I liked mine the best... the orange flamb with Gran Marineir (sp?). Though Rae wins coolest dessert for being able to say she had a Mange a Trois.

But I think Talia was the real winner here for biggest bites of anyone.

Outside it was still cold so my pictures turned out all blurry from shivering.

But there's a cute little square in the middle of Woodstock, IL that was still all lit up and twinkly.

The square was actually the filming location of the movie, Groundhog Day, although they called it Punxatawnee. (sp?)

I had to sit and contemplate that for a bit.

Kind of an interesting shot. Nice job Rae. But is it just the black and whitedness that makes it artsy?

Enough thinking. It's cold. Talia kicks me in the head and says, "Let's go."

One last shivery shot.

And then time for the best Mai Tai's on the planet. Yes, they are better than in Hawaii. They come with rock candy sticks that melt in your drink and make it sweeter as you drink. They are my new favorite. This is the before shot.

And somewhere in the middle, I had made some inappropriate comment. This is my favorite shot I've ever taken. Look at their expressions! That's not posed, people. These girls are genuinely disappointed and pissed off at me. Hilarious!

But by the time they saw the bottom of the glass, all was forgotton. This is the "after" shot. Rae had to get every last drop off that rock candy stick. Those things were good!

Bhudda was watching us from outside the window, blessing the evening. Or whatever Bhudda does.

We couldn't rub Bhudda's belly, so Rae gave the tiki mask a goodnight kiss. Goodnight Rae and Talia!
