Other countries have faced devastation before, but from the footage we see, they sit patiently for help and are grateful when it arrives. As far as I know, the victims did not start to rape and pillage other victims. They did not shoot at those offering help just because it wasn't the right help, or it wasn't fast enough. What is it with Americans?
